The Dunsmuir Lodge sits on a five acre property facing one of the best views in Siskiyou County–The Dunsmuir Ridge. While it is easy access from Interstate 5 (It’s about a quarter of a mile from the freeway), you will find our rooms situated under the most beautiful giant oak, cedar and pine trees with plenty of space to walk your dog. It is an old style motel that you can drive up to and park right in front of your room or suite. This gives lots of folks a sense of security when they are traveling. We also have a Tesla Charger, which is free for customers and $10 for folks driving through. We also have an adapter if your vehicle that is not a Tesla.
The Dunsmuir Lodge is about a block from Manfredi’s Gas station (Valero) which has a great deli and, on Fridays, they offer the best barbecue around. The center of town is about a half mile away and has plenty of restaurants.

Fishermen love to stay here. Our “drive up to your room” style parking makes it easy for you to drop off and pick up your gear. And, we have two barbecues on our property to cook your trout. Be sure to ask about our fishing cleaning station. We are happy to freeze any fish for you until the end of your stay.

We have started a fruit orchard on our land, and we are very excited about it! This year Siskiyou County had a freeze in July so we did not have a harvest for 2022. We look forward to donating our next year’s harvest to our local resource center. Stay tuned!
